synopsis - english
A young man is searching for his tyrolean identity. In symolic
images of the past centuries, he finds out interesting things
about the psyche of his people and himself.
Inhalt - deutsch

It seemed to me to hang together extremely well visually. I admired
the use of sound, the way it accented the light, and made the
visuals surprising (those shots of the mountains, for instance,
which might have been a cliche without the soundtrack). I laughed
at the shot where the corpse's big toe was in the extreme foreground.
That seemed witty to me.
I very much like the way the film deals with everyday objects
in the world: televisions, furniture, windows. For that reason,
some of the use of the crucifix and the gun, for instance (where
the girls has it in her lap), seemed a bit heavy-handed to me,
too obviously symbolic.
